DevLog #11: Final Project Milestone II
Reflection:
I added most or all non-building props for the game; basic infrastructural items made into prefabs so it is easily drop and draggable. I think this is a good approach to making this kind of sand-boxy game.
I am aiming to build all the buildings and lighting set up for the game, as well as the start/end scene. We are still lacking a UI during game time (which I don’t know if it’s still necessary), but we do need to add a score system that is visible at the end.
I am quite ambivalent how to assess the progress. I feel as though I can conclude that the game is “good enough” in certain aspects, but lacking in others. This could have been fixed through more play testing with strangers that have no premise to our game. I also find that for our over-scoping, we have reached a certain satisfactory stage, but the crunch still exists. We still have a lot of basic game mechanic to get done (such as an end condition), and I believe we focused too much on perfecting other items. It has generally been on a steady pace, none of us has lost or picked up pace.
